What comes to mind when you think Art Deco? Probably New York, the Roaring Twenties, or maybe even Mumbai's heritage buildings on Marine Drive. But did you know that Bangalore has its own share of Art Deco buildings? Join us as we take you on a walking tour of Art Deco structures in the neighbourhood of Malleswaram. By the end of this walk, you will be able to identify the distinctive features of the Art Deco style.
The walk will be led by Suchitra Deep, an architect and community worker. She is the founder of Malleswaram Social, a community group in Malleswaram. She is also the creator of www.malleswaram.org, the definitive website on Malleswaram. The walks are an outreach activity of the website.
